Pengaruh Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Number Head Together (NHT) Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran IPS Kelas VIII Di SMP Tribhakti Pekanbaru
This research is aimed to determine the effect of the Number Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model in improving student learning achievement in IPS subjects at SMP Tribhakti Pekanbaru. This is a quasi experimental research (Quasi Experimental), the population of this research were the students of VIII class that consist of two classes, there are VIII-1 and VIII-2 and both of these classes were choosen as sample. Random sampling technique was used in selecting the sample. As a result, VIII-1 class was taken as an experimental class and VIII-2 class was for the control class. The data and the research instruments used in this research are learning tools such as Syllabus, RPP and LKPD. The data collection technique are the students study results, observation sheets, and documentations. The different test (T-test) was used in analyzing the score of the students and it obtained the mean score in the experimental class is 81.4762 and the control class is 76.4783 thus it can be said that the score of the experimental class posttest is higher than the score of the control class posttest. Based on the N-Gain, the score obtained is 0,32 where 0,32 lies at a score of 0,7 > gain > 0,3. In conclusion, the number head together cooperative learning model has an effect on the student learning achievment of the experimental class in the medium category and it deserves to be considered as one of the learning models used in the learning process.
