Optimasi Ketebalan Shear Walldengan Metode Algoritma Genetika(Genetic Algorithm)
The study aims to optimize the thickness of the shear wall on the
building. The object of research is Type CW.2 shear wall on the
government building of Riau Province Gedung 9 (Sembilan) Lantai Kantor
Dinas Provinsi Riau. Before performing optimization, the shear wall is
analyzed to determine the field stresses that occur. The analysis that used
to explain is plane stress analysis with finite element method. The
thickness (t) of shear wall is used as a design variable in the optimization
process. The technique used for the optimization is Genetic Algorithm
Method.
The Genetic Algorithm Method assumed that a shear wall structure
as an individual. As an individual, there are chromosomes, which in this
study chromosome is the thickness of shear wall element. The Genetic
Algorithm is based on the genetic processes present in living things,
named as the development of a generation of the natural population. The
population is randomly constructed, while the next population is the
evolution of chromosomes through an iteration called the term generation.
In each generation, the chromosomes will go through the evaluation
process using a measuring instrument called a fitness function. The fitness
value of a chromosome will show the chromosome quality of that
population.
The results showed that the optimum thickness achieved on each
floor on the shear wall varies. The thickness between 0,24 m to 1,03 m,
with the fitness value of the structure in the last generation, is 22,369, and
the volume optimum of the structure is 44,705 m3.
