Prediksi Muka Air Tanah Dan Lengas Tanah Untuk Analisis Tingkat Risiko Kebakaran Lahan Gambut Tropis
Dompas Village is one of the areas with a high level of vulnerability to peatland fires in Bengkalis Regency. Frequent fires result in haze and disrupt community activities. In addition to the factor of minimal rainfall, fires occur due to a prolonged dry season so that the ground water level is at a depth lower than 40 cm. Therefore it is necessary to analyze the peatland fires by predicting the correlation of ground water level and soil moisture. This is done to be useful for preparedness and early warning against peatland fires.
In this study a regression analysis can be used to predict groundwater levels and soil moisture in peatlands. The data used for modeling are rainfall, ground water level and soil moisture from SESAME equipment in Dompas village.
Regression analysis was performed using three-month, six-month and nine-month scenarios to determine which time periods could represent hydrological conditions in the field. The results of groundwater level prediction research show that regression analysis using three-month data has a correlation of 0.93, six-month data has a correlation of 0.95 and nine-month data has a correlation of 0.76. As for the prediction results of soil moisture using three-month data has a correlation of 0.66 and six-month data has a correlation of 0.66. This shows that the regression analysis represents the best prediction results for ground water level and soil moisture. Judging from observed and predicted ground water level that was always in the lower position than 40 cm depth, this area was always in the high risk of peat fire along the year.
