Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Peserta Didik Kelas Viii.6 Mts N 1 Pekanbaru
This research aims to improve the learning process and increase mathematics learning outcomes by implementing the Problem Based Learning model of the students in class VIII.6 MTs N 1 Pekanbaru. Subject of this research are students of class VIII.6 MTs N 1 Pekanbaru in odd semester of academic year 2019/2020 which consist of 31 students. This form of research is a classroom action with two cycles. The instruments used in this research were (1) learning instruments (syllabus, lesson plan, dan student work sheet) and (2) the instruments of collecting data (observation sheets and learning outcome test). To know improvements in the learning process required data on the activities of teacher and students collected using observation sheets and analyzed descriptive qualitative. To know the increase students learning outcomes required data of students learning outcomes collected using tests and analyzed descriptively quantitative. The result of data analysis teacher and students activity showed that the learning process has improved after the problem based learning model being implemented. The data obtained from the student’s achievement test shows that the percentage of students who reached the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC) aspek of knowledge has increased from the basic score 25,8% to 61,29% in first test and 77,41% in second test. The percentage of students who reached the MMC aspek of skill achievement has increased, the first test 64,51% to tthe second test 93,54%. Based on data anylisis, it can be concluded that implementation of the Problem Based Learning model can improve learning process and improve mathematics learning outcomes of students in class VIII.6 MTs N 1 Pekanbaru at the odd semester in academic year 2019/2020.
