Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Peserta Didik Kelas Vii-4 Smp Negeri 21 Pekanbaru
This research is a class action research which aimed to improve learning process and increase the mathematics learning outcomes by implying Problem Based Learning model. The subjects of this research were VII-4 grade student’s of SMP Negeri 21 Pekanbaru in the academic year 2019/2020. The total number of participants were 40 students, consisting of 18 male students and 22 female students with heterogeneous academic achievement. This research took two cycles,in which each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Each cycles ended with daily examination. The data collected by observation and test. The data were analyzed by narative descriptive and statistical descriptive. The data were obtained from the observation sheets shows that teacher and students activities were improved after the model implemented. From the data of students evaluation test, shows that the percentage of students who passed minimal mastery learning increased from the basic score before action (10%) to at the first test (27,5%). Students learning outcomes also increased from the first test to the second test (55%). Based on the explanation above the implementation of Problem Based Learning model could improve the learning process and increase the mathematics learning otcomes from students of grade VII-4 SMP Negeri 21 Pekanbaru on odd semester of 2019/2020 of the subject matter algebraic form.
