Morfometrik, Meristik Dan Pola Pertumbuhan Ikan Baung Pisang (Bagroides Melapterus) Di Sungai Kampar Kiri Desa Mentulik Kecamatan Kampar Kiri Hilir Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau
Bagroides melapterus is a type of freshwater fish that inhabit the Kampar Kiri River. Information on biological, including morphometric, meristic and growth patterns of that fish, however, is rare. To understand the morphometrical and meristical characteristics and also the growth pattern of the fish, a research has been conducted in July- August 2019. There were 53 fishes (158-290 TL mm and 50-270 g BW) were captured from the river. There were 27 morphological characteristics measured and 5 meristical characteristics counted. The meristical characteristics obtained were as follows: D.IV.6, P.III.6, V.7, A.16, C.16-19. Results shown there were 4 morphometrical characteristics differences between male and female. Female has longer or wider caudal-peduncle, distance between mouth to the ventral fin base, ventral fin base and caudal fin base. The length-weight relationship shown that the growth of male and female was negative allometric (b= 1.919 in male and b= 2.237 in female).
Keywords: Catfish, Negative Allometric, Morphological Characteristic, Meristic Characteristic.
