Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Think-Pair-Square (TPS) Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas VII-A SMP Negeri 1 Bangkinang Kota
This research is a classroom action research (CAR) that aims to find out the improvement of mathematics learning outcomes through the application of Think Pair Square (TPS) Type Cooperative learning. The subjects of this study were Class VII-A students of SMP Negeri 1 Bangkinang Kota in the odd semester of the academic year 2019/2020, with a total of 30 students, consisting of 13 men and 17 women. This research was conducted in 2 cycles. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The results showed quantitatively an increase in student mathematics learning outcomes after the implementation of Think Pair Square (TPS) cooperative learning, namely an increase data analysis, for knowledge competence the percentage of students who reach the KKM in the first cycle is 50% and 76,67% in the second cycle. In skills competence, the percentage of the number of students who reached KKM in the first cycle was 53,33% increasing to 60% in the second cycle. While qualitatively during the learning process takes place the implementation of the learning process gets better for each meeting. This is indicated by the increased activity and activity of students during the implementation of the learning process as seen from the observation sheets conducted during the study. From the analysis it can be concluded that with the application of Think Pair Square (TPS) type of cooperative learning there is an increase in mathematics learning outcomes of Grade VII-A students of SMP Negeri 1 Bangkinang Kota.
