Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Logis Melalui Bermain Timbangan Pada Anak Usia 5 - 6 Tahun Di Tk Harapan Bunda Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir
The background of this research is most children do not know about logical thinking ability is (1) the child can not answer perfectly if asked how much weight if the object is weighed. (2) children always feel confused when looking at the scales. (3) the child has not been able to answer correctly or still feel confused in determining which one is lighter and which is heavier if doing the activity of weighing 10 seeds of palm with 5 pieces of stone the same size. (4) the child has not been able to find balance when playing jungkitan (outdoor toys) to determine how to be equally heavy or equally light. The purpose of the implementation of this research is (1) to know the improvement of the ability of logical thinking through playing scales on children aged 5-6 years. (2) to know how to play scales to improve logical thinking ability in children aged 5-6 years (3) to find out the great improvement of logical thinking ability through playing scales on children aged 5-6 years through playing scales in TK Harapan Bunda Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir. This type of research is a classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles. In 1 cycle there are 3 meetings. The data collection tool used in this research is in the form of observation sheet. The number of samples in this study were 14 children consisting of 7 boys and 7 girls.
Based on the recapitulation of logical thinking ability through the game of weights of children aged 5-6 years in the initial data, cycle I and cycle II, obtained the average value that is before the action or before the cycle obtained an average value of 44.64% with MB criteria. After the first cycle, the average value obtained in cycle I was 59.82% with BSH criteria. Because the average value in cycle I is still low and sufficiently categorized, then the researchers continue the second cycle. In cycle II the average value obtained is 80.65% with BSB criteria.
So the increase from before the implementation of action to cycle I of 34,1% and cycle I to cycle II that is equal to 34,8% and increase from before cycle to cycle II is 80,6%. Means by through the game scales can improve the logical thinking ability of children aged 5-6 years in TK Harapan Bunda Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir, in accordance with expectations made in this study. This increase occurs because each stage of the implementation of the cycle held improvements in carrying out learning activities
