Abstrac: Increasing the Ability to Know the Numbers Through the Game of Snail
Shells In Children Aged 5-6 Years In PAUD Tunas Bunda Bangko District Rokan
Hilir Regency. 2017. The background of this research is the lack of children's
ability in Knowing Numbers, for early childhood is expected to develop at the next
level, where learning about mathematics will be studied up to all levels of
education from Early Childhood Education to University. Problems that occur is
the authors find the ability to recognize the numbers in children aged 5-6 years
whose ability is still very low, learning is done for understanding in recognizing
the number of children aged 5-6 years This research method is Classroom Action
Research method which is done by cycle, data collection tool used in this research
is in the form of observation sheet, the number of samples in this research is 15
children consisting of. Based on the analysis of the assessment process of two
cycles there is an increase. Increasing that happened from before action of cycle I
equal to 26,00%, cycle I second cycle equal to 41,27%, and improvement from
before cycle II II equal to 78,44%. From the results of the study concluded that the
game snail shells can improve the ability of numbers through the game of snail
shells in children aged 5-6 years in PAUD Tunas Bunda Bangko District Rokan
Hilir District. as suggestions from research for this research is to help and
motivate children in creating a comfortable atmosphere and also provide a fun
activity to improve the ability to recognize numbers through the game snail shells
are very easy to work, are expected to work together in improving the quality of
education, especially in children's education early age in accordance with the
duties and obligations.
