Degradasi Methylene Blue Menggunakan Oksida Mangan Yang Disintesis Dari Kmno4 Dan Glukosa Dengan Metode Sol-Gel
Manganese oxide of KMnO4 and glucose in the ratio 2: 3 have been synthesized
using the sol-gel method. The XRD data it is known that the result of synthesized
manganese oxide was a manganosite type with a high crystalline level. In the
morphological analysis that was using SEM manganosite’s shape resembled
cotton dots. From the analysis of the surface area and pore volume used SAA, it is
known that manganosite had a surface area of 11,223 m2/g and pore volume of
0.087 cc / g. Manganosite synthesized was used as a catalyst in the degradation of
methylene blue. Variation consentration at 50, 100, 125 and 150 ppm was done to
saw the effect of methylene blue’s consentration, from this consentration variants,
the biggest degradation was the consentration of 50 ppm. To determine the effect
of oxidant (H2O2) varying the amount of H2O2 is without H2O2, 5, 10 and 15 ml
and the optimum number for the degradation of methylene blue was 10 mL in the
amount of 80.78% with reaction for 120 minutes. To determined the effect
amount catalyst’s amount to the degradation of methylene blue varying the
amount of catalyst is 25, 50 and 100 mg, from that variation optimum degradation
percentase 50 mg with 120 minutes long degradation as 79,69% was obtained. For
the influence of temperature variation performed, the best temperature is 60 0C
that equal ad 92,61%. result of kinetics study research showed that methylene blue
degradation followed the 2 nd orde of reaction with activation energy at 9.4197
KJ/mol.
