Studi Timbulan, Komposisi Dan Karakteristik Sampah Non Domestik Serta Potensi Daur Ulang Sampah Di Wilayah Pengembangan Ii Dan Iii Kota Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
The generation data, composition and characteristics of waste are needed in
planning the potential for waste recycling. This research was conducted in the
Development Areas II and III Pekanbaru City with a total sample of 41 and 43
samples. The study was conducted based on SNI 19-3964-1994 for eight consecutive
days. Average waste generation in Development Region II is (0,747 l/org/day and
0,096 kg/person/day) and in Development Region III is (0,652 l/person/day and 0,084
kg/person/day). The largest composition of waste in Development Areas II and III is
wet waste at 47,08% and 52,32%. The results of physical characteristics in the form
of compaction factors are 1,34 liters and 1,41 liters, specific gravity is 0,19 kg/liters
and 0,17 kg/liters and chemical characteristics for water content are 25,28% and
26,62%, volatile content is 65,90% and 63,41%, ash content of 4,15 and 6,12%, and
fixed carbon levels of 4,35% and 5,16%. Recommendations on the potential of
recycling based on the composition of waste in Development Region II are
composting at 58,66%, recyclable at 14,93% and RDF (Reduse Derived Fuel) at
21,95% and in Development Region III at composting at 63,84%, recyclable of
14,77% and RDF (Reduse Derived Fuel) of 17,86%.
