Pengembangan Perangkat Pembelajaran Berbasis Keterampilan Abad 21 Dengan Penerapan Problem Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Peserta Didik Pada Materi Bangun Ruang Sisi Datar Kelas VIII SMP
The results of preliminary studies conducted show that the learning tools used by teachers in schools do not meet the rules contained in the Permendikbud Number 22 Year 2016. The syllabus used by teachers is only for basic competencies, learning materials and learning activities as well as competency assessment in the RPP used by teachers still using operational verbs that cannot yet be supported. This study aims to produce 21st century skills-based learning tools with the application of problem-based learning to improve students' critical thinking skills on building materials flat side class VIII SMP consisting of syllabus, RPP, and LKPD. This study uses the Plomp development model with stages: (1) the initial investigation phase (preliminary investigation); (2) the prototype phase (prototyping phase); and (3) assessment phase.Initial investigation phase (preliminary investigation), researchers conduct curriculum analysis, student analysis and analysis of teaching materials. In this phase the researcher examines the curriculum, learning tools, students' critical thinking abilities and the scope of the material.
Initial investigation phase (preliminary investigation), researchers conduct curriculum analysis, student analysis and analysis of teaching materials. In this phase the researcher examines the curriculum, learning tools, students' critical thinking abilities and the scope of the material. In this phase it is known based on the results of preliminary test studies of students' critical thinking skills are still relatively low. Prototype phase (prototyping phase), researchers designed a learning device consisting of four meetings with the scope of the material, namely: (1) the surface area of cubes and beams; (2) the volume of cubes and beams; (3) surface area and prism volume; and (4) surface area and volume of the pyramid. The assessment phase, the learning tool is then developed based on a design that has been prepared and validated by three validators. The results of the validation analysis obtained a consecutive average value for the test questions of critical thinking skills that is 3.13; and syllabus that is 3.19 shows valid criteria that are worth testing with revision. The results of the validation analysis for RPP are 3.32 and LKPD is 3.26 showing valid criteria that are worth testing with revision.
The learning kit was then tested on eight grade IX students of SMP Negeri 4 Pekanbaru. The results of the student questionnaire at the limited trial stage showed LKPD fulfilled very practical criteria with a percentage of small group trials of 92.41%. LKPD was revised according to the suggestions and input from students in the form of improved sentences that were more appropriate. The revised learning kit was then tested on 33 students of class VIII-6 of SMP Negeri 4 Pekanbaru. Field trials were conducted in four meetings to see the practicality

of the syllabus, lesson plans, and LKPD with the percentage of large group trials of 89.95%. The results of students' response questionnaire analysis, teacher's questionnaire responses and observation sheets indicate the learning device meets very practical criteria. The percentage of teacher questionnaire responses and observation sheets were 89.35% and 90.34%, respectively. The learning kit is then revised according to the suggestions of the teacher and students.
The revised learning tool was used through pre-experimental research with the Static Group Comparison design. The experimental design involved two classes, namely class VIII-9 of SMP Negeri 4 Pekanbaru as a control class and class VIII-10 of SMP Negeri 4 Pekanbaru as an experimental class. Based on the analysis of critical thinking skills test results obtained that the test results of students 'critical thinking skills in the experimental class are better than the control class, so it can be concluded that the learning device with the application of problem based learning is effective to improve students' critical thinking skills on the material building flat side space Class VIII Middle School. The results of the research that have been carried out show that 21st century skill-based learning tools with the application of problem based learning to improve students' critical thinking skills on the material for constructing flat side rooms of class VIII SMP are valid, practical, and effective.
