Pengaruh Pupuk Npk Dengan Ekstrak Bawang Merah Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis Guineensis Jacq.) Di Pre Nursery

The purpose of study was to determine the effect of NPK fertilizer with
onion extract and to find the best combination for the growth of oil palm seedlings
(Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) in the pre nursery. The research was carried out at the
Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, Bina Widya
Campus KM 12,5, Simpang Baru Panam Village, Tampan District, Pekanbaru for
4 months from May to September 2019. The research was carried out
experimentally using a completely randomized design with a combination
treatment of NPK fertilizer with onion extract consisting of 7 treatment levels,
namely control (NPK fertilizer according to the recommended dose of 2.50
g/plant), NPK fertilizer 2.50 g/plant + 25 % onion extract, NPK fertilizer 2.50
g/plant + 50 % onion extract, NPK fertilizer 2.50 g/plant + 75 % onion extract,
NPK fertilizer 1.25 g/plant + 25 % onion extract, 1.25 g/plant NPK fertilizer + 50
% onion extract and 1.25 g/plant NPK fertilizer + 75 % onion extract). The
parameters observed were seed height (cm), number of leaves (strands), weevil
diameter (cm), leaf area (cm2), root volume (cm3), seed dry weight (g), root shoot
ratio and seedling growth rate (g/day). The results of the analysis were further
tested using Duncan multiple range test at the 5 % level. The results showed that
the combination of NPK fertilizer treatment with onion extract had an effect on
the parameters of seed height, number of seed leaves, seed bulb diameter, seed dry
weight, root shoot ratio and seed growth rate. The combination of 2.50 g/plant
NPK fertilizer treatment with 75% onion extract was the best treatment for all
parameters for oil palm seedling growth in the 4 month pre-nursery.
