Evaluasi Dimensi Saluran Drainase Pada Kawasan Jalan Suka Karya Kecamatan Tambang Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau
Drainage is a system created to deal with the problem of excess water both excess
water that is above the soil surface. In the rainy season there is excess water in the
form of surface runoff which often causes floods so people start thinking about the
need for a channel system that can drain water more controlled. The existing
condition of the drainage channel that does not function optimally when receiving
water discharge and causes excess capacity in the drainage channel on the road, i.e.
there is a lot of garbage and sedimentation on the surface of the drainage channel. So
a study was conducted on the condition of the existing drainage system as a
consideration to evaluate the feasibility of the dimensions of the drainage channel in
accommodating runoff discharge, the direction of drainage, and the factors that led to
inundation and determine appropriate alternative handling problems in order to be
able to overcome inundation that happened. From the results obtained canal
dimensions that are able to overcome the flood inundation are the width of the
channel (B) 1.48 m, the depth of the channel (H) 0.74 m.
