Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran IPS Berbasis E-Learning Untuk SMP Kelas VII Semester II
The utilization of information and communication technologies for the
learning process in education can be carried out in terms of the use of ELearning.
In the 21st century learning the term ICT (Information and
Communication Technologies) literacy is known. ICT Literacy is an ability to use
technology in learning process to achieve students' thinking and learning skills.
The background of this study was based on observations conducted at SMPN 1
Mandau, has not found teachers who apply E-Learning in learning process. Most
teachers teach the materials using the lecture method with the main source
coming from printed media in the form of textbooks, even though the equipment
that supports learning is quite adequate such as the presences of wifi, infocus, and
computers labor.
This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and the effectiveness
of the Development from IPS Learning Media Based on E-Learning for
Secondary Students Level, Seventh Grade Students, Second Semester. This was a
Development Research (Research and Development) using the ADDIE model
(Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) proposed by
Dick and Carry. This study was conducted at SMPN 1 Mandau Bengkalis
Regency. The type of data collected in this study was qualitative data obtained
from interviews, observations and expert validity. The assessments of students are
done through a questionnaire. The objects of this study were IPS Learning Media
Based on E-Learning for the seventh grade students, second semester by using
Chamilo 2019 software. The data analysis used in the form of descriptive
qualitative and quantitative descriptive statistical analysis. The qualitative
descriptive analysis techniques were used to process the trial data from media
experts and material experts, while quantitative descriptive statistical analysis
techniques were used for media assessments by 30 students with the help of SPSS
program.
The results of the study stated that IPS Learning Media Based on ELearning
using Chamilo 2019 Software included was very satisfying category
with an average of 79.34% obtained from the totally of the three aspects, namely:
(1) Learning Media Design Aspects of 84.5% (2 ) Software Aspect was 76.45%
and (3) Visual Communication Aspect was 77.08%, so it could be concluded that
IPS Learning Media Based on E-Learning was declared valid by media and
material experts, with the level of practicality of media use. practical / easy to use
and the effectiveness of appropriate media in learning activities, which can save
time and facilitate the preparation of teaching materials.
