Motivasi Pembudidaya Ikan Nila (Oreochromis Niloticus) Dalam Keramba Jaring Apung Di Desa Merangin Kecamatan Kuok Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau

Abstract:
This research was conducted on 13 December - 30 December 2018 in Merangin Village,
Kuok Sub District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The purpose of this study was to
determine the characteristics and level of motivation of Tilapia cultivators in floating net
cages, as well as to determine the relationship between characteristics and motivation of
Tilapia cultivators in floating net cages in Merangin Village. The method used in this
research is a survey method. The characteristics of Tilapia cultivators in floating net cages
in Merangin Village generally have a productive age, the number of family members is in
the medium category, the level of education that has been attended by high school
(SMA), capital is in the medium category, length of business / business experience is in
the category moderate, income is in the medium category and the number of hours
worked is in the medium category. The motivation level of Tilapia cultivators in floating
net cages in Merangin Village is in the high category with a score range of 84-108, which
is 30 people (100%), meaning that the cultivators have strong motivation and are
optimistic in running their cultivation business in the future. Based on the results of the
study, it was found that the characteristics of cultivators related to the level of motivation
of cultivators were age, family members, education level, capital, length of business /
experience and income. Meanwhile, the characteristics of cultivators that are not related
to the level of motivation of cultivators are the number of hours worked in a day
