Efektivitas Beberapa Konsentrasi Ekstrak Tepung Biji Mengkudu (Morinda Citrifolia L.) Terhadap Ulat Krop Kubis (Crocidolomia Pavonana F.) Di Laboratorium
The main pest that often causes problems in cabbage is the cabbage crop caterpillar
(Crocidolomia pavonana F.). Pest control can be done by using a botanical insecticide for
noni seeds (Morinda citrifolia L.). This study aims to obtain a concentration of noni seed
flour extract (Morinda citrifolia L.) which is effective against mortality of cabbage crop
caterpillar pest (Crocidolomia pavonana F.). The research was conducted at the Plant Pest
Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University. This study used a completely
randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments given were
several concentrations of noni seeds flour extract, 0 g.l-1 water, 25 g.l-1 water, 50 g.l-1 water,
75 g.l-1 water and 100 g.l-1 water. Observation parameters consisted of initial time of death,
lethal time 50, lethal concentrate, daily mortality, total mortality, temperature and humidity.
Daily mortality data obtained from the research results were analyzed descriptively and
displayed in graphical form, lethal concentrate data were analyzed probit using the POLO-PC
program, while data on initial time of death, lethal time 50 and total mortality were
statistically analyzed using analysis of variance. The results of variance were further tested
with the smallest significant difference test (LSD) at the 5% level. The results showed the
effectiveness of several concentrations of noni seeds flour extract (Morinda citrifolia L.) to
control cabbage crop caterpillars (Crocidolomia pavonana F.) in the laboratory, it can be
concluded that the application of noni seeds flour extract at a concentration of 100 g.l-1 water
was able to control Crocidolomia pavonana larvae with a total mortality of 75% but not yet
effective in controlling Crocidolomia pavonana larvae because they had not been able to kill
the test insects above 80%. The right concentration to kill 50% of the larva population of
Crocidolomia pavonana is 6.7% or the equivalent of 67 g.l-1 water extract of noni seeds flour
and the right concentration to kill 95% of the population of Crocidolomia pavonana larvae is
23.5% or equivalent to 235 g.l-1 water extract noni seeds flour.
