Perbaikan Sifat Geoteknik Tanah Lunak Lempung (Ch) Terhadap Penambahan Semen Dan Limbah Fly Ash
ABSTRACT
High plasticity clay soils are categorized as soft soils that have low strength and bearing capacity, high compressibility and large shrinkage, so that stabilization is needed so that they can improve the properties of the soil needed to be used as a subgrade according to construction. The stabilization efforts undertaken in this study were mixing additives in the form of fly ash (coal waste) and cement. The purpose of this mixture is to see its effect on the physical and mechanical properties of the soil. Fly ash variation is 5%, 10%, and 15%, cement variation is 3% and 5% of the dry weight of the soil. UCS testing was carried out at 0, 7 and 28 days ripening, CBR testing at 0 and 7 days ripening, permeability testing, Atterberg Limit checking, and microscopopic at 28 days ripening. The results showed a mixture of fly ash and cement increased the UCS value and the CBR price of the land. Put on the C value and increase the E50 value of the sample which is directly related to the increasing stiffness of the UCS sample. PI value decreased, k value increased in the sample variation of cement 5% and increased decrease in cement content 3%. Samples T0-S5-FA15-C28 were the best with a Cu value of 109.20 kPa, a PI of 7.94%, and a k value of 2,46× . Sample T0- S3-FA15-C7 has a CBR price of 8.31% which meets the minimum requirements for a road subgrage of 6% from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (2017), as well as for a sample of cement variation of 5% all of which have a much higher price large compared to the T0-S3-FA15-C7 sample. For the variation of T0-S5-FA5-C7 has a CBR price of 36.81%, the variation of T0-S5- FA10-C7 is 39.56%, and the variation of T0-S5-FA15-C7 is 42.86%. The conclusions from the research prove that fly ash and cement can improve the physical and mechanical properties of the soil.
