Pemberian Berbagai Dosis Pupuk Kandang Sapi Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Tanaman Kacang Hijau (Vigna Radiata L.)
ABSTRACT
Mungbean (Vigna radiata L.) is a legume crop and in Indonesia ranks
third after soybeans and peanuts. Mung bean production in Riau in 2018
decreased by 14 tons compared to 2017 where the 2017 production was 448 tons
to 434 tons in 2018 or decreased by 3.13%. Increased production can be done
through increasing land area, increasing soil productivity, among others by
providing a supply of nutrients that can meet the needs needed for mungbean
plants for plant growth and production, including by giving various doses of cow
manure. This research has been carried out in the experimental garden of the Riau
University agricultural faculty from November 2019 to January 2020. The six
dosage treatments of cow manure fertilizer, namely P0 = 0 ton.ha-1 (0 kg per plot),
P1 = 5 ton.ha-1 (2 kg per plot), P2 = 10 ton.ha-1 (4 kg per plot), P3 = 15 ton.ha-1 (6
kg per plot), P4 = 20 ton.ha-1 (8 kg per plot) and P5 = 25 ton.ha-1 (10 kg per plot).
The research was conducted experimentally using a randomized block design
consisting of six treatments and four replications, in order to obtain 24
experimental units. The results showed that the application of various doses of
cow manure had a significant effect on plant height, number of branches, stem
diameter, number of pods per plant, number of pithy pods per plant, production
per plot and weight of 100 seeds, but had no significant effect on flowering age.
Key words: growth and yield of mungbean, organic cow manure.
