Motivasi Indonesia Menandatangani Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement Dengan Australia
This research is an international political economy study that analyzes Indonesia's motivation to sign the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement with Australia. In particular, this research is focused on the reasons and objectives for Indonesia to sign the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement with Australia. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with the theory of international cooperation and national interests. Data collection begins with collecting information through books, journals and several websites related to the subject matter. Then analyzed and written in this thesis.
The results of this study indicate that Indonesia's interest in signing the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement with Australia is to achieve Indonesia's economic interests, namely increasing economic cooperation in trade and investment with Australia. After the signing of the IA-CEPA cooperation, in addition to the early outcome, Indonesia has obtained easy market access in Australia with all tariff rates of 0% for 6474 tariff posts, reduced non-tariff barriers, and various facilities to access the service market and investment in various sectors. . Previously, tariff and non-tariff barriers were one of the factors inhibiting the trade balance deficit between Indonesia and Australia. In addition, with the IA-CEPA Australian investment in Indonesia is not only in the industrial and mining sectors, but also in the higher education, health, construction, energy, tourism and skills (vocational) sectors.
