This study aims to analyze costs, gross revenues, profits, and analyze the
role of the economic institutions supporting the shrimp farming business in Teluk
Pambang Village. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data.
This research uses quantitative descriptive method, this research is analyzed
using the formula of cost (TC = TFC + TVC), revenue (TR = P.Q), profit (π =
TR-TC). To make the calculation easier, the Microsoft Excel program is used.
Data collection techniques include questionnaires, interviews, and
documentation.
The results showed that the costs incurred by the pond farmers spent quite
high production costs. The production results obtained each harvest season are
gross revenues before deducting costs, including depreciation costs. Farmers use
more capital in the services of financial institutions, namely banks. All farmers
manage their own shrimp ponds by using labor from the Teluk Pambang Village
community, farmers get below average profits from shrimp if they experience
harvest failure, and there is a significant difference in the benefits obtained
between farmer groups.
