Pengaruh Penggunaan Silicafume Terhadap Kuat Tekan, Kuat Tarik Belah, Dan Porositas Beton Di Lingkungan Gambut
Concrete material-based development is currently very important in infrastructure development. One of the developments that often occurs on peatlands, because Indonesia is a country that has the largest peatlands after Brazil. Peat is a material known for its acid content, which has a negative effect on the concrete used as a building structure. Along with this, research development is needed, one of which is by replacing some of the cement material with silicafume.
Based on these conditions the objectives to be achieved are the results to analyze the compressive test, split tensile test, and porosity both in well water immersion and peat water. The materials used are fine aggregate and coarse aggregate (crushed stone) originating from Tanjung Balai Karimun. The cement used is PPC cement. The percentage of silicafume as a substitute for cement is 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% of the weight of cement. The job mix is implemented using SNI 03-2834-2000, with treatment using peat water and well water. The slump used was 10 ± 2 cm.
Based on the test, it was found that there was a change in the slump value that dropped drastically after the addition of silicafume, where the slump at the time of adding 5% silicafume had a slump of 9.5 cm and after that the slump continued to thicken at a value of 6 cm at the addition of a maximum of 20% silicafume. In the compressive test, optimal results were obtained in the addition of 5% silica fume both in well water and peat water immersion. Along with the increase of silica fume, 10%, 15% and 20% compressive strength decreased strength. From the results of the comparison of well water immersion and peat water, it can be seen that there is a large effect on peat water immersion, which shows that the resulting compressive strength is lower. The split tensile strength shows a balanced strength between the samples immersed in well water and peat water. In the analysis of the porosity, there is a greater disturbance condition in peat water immersion, where the porosity value in peat water is greater than well water. There is a fundamental relationship found, with an increase in the porosity value of the concrete there is also a decrease in the compressive strength which is directly proportional.
