Analisis Sediment Transport Di Pantai Selat Baru Pulau Bengkalis Dengan Adanya Pemecah Gelombang
This research discusses abrasion and sedimentation in Selat Baru Beach, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The purpose of this study was to determine the condition of current patterns, surface elevation patterns and sediment transport patterns in Selat Baru Beach by making numerical models using MIKE 21 software. Data processing in this study uses data, namely bathymetry data with BATNAS data, and tide data. retroactive using BIG data in February 2020 (west season). The value of sea depth or bathymetry used was obtained from BATNAS (National Bathymetry) data with the shallower depth value of -2.6 meters and the deepest of -5.2 meters in the study area. These results show the lowest surface elevation value without a breakwater, namely on February 1, 2020 at the lowest tide at 14.00 WIB, with a value of -0.05 meters, while the highest surface elevation value is on February 10, 2020 at the highest tide at 01.00 WIB, with a value of 2.10 meters. The results of the surface elevation value with a breakwater at the lowest value is on February 1, 2020 with the lowest tide at 14.00 WIB, with a value of -0.05 meters, while the highest surface elevation value is on February 10, 2020 at the highest tide at 01.00 WIB , with a value of 2.11 meters.
This shows the results of the sea level elevation model in February 2020 in the west season when the highest tide in the coastal area of the Baru Strait, Bengkalis Regency, Riau will bring particles and seabed substrate to move to the northwest and northeast with the presence of a breakwater building breakwater in Selat Baru coast, Riau, while at the lowest tide, the same thing happened with the highest tide of sediment moving towards the dominant northwest on the New Strait coast. The results of the current velocity of the New Strait coast, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province, without a breakwater based on the results of the model obtained that the highest tide current that occurs in the western season in 2020 ranges from 0.0015 to 0.09 m/s, while the lowest tide current which occurs in the west monsoon ranges from 0.0008 to 0.084 m/s. The results of the current velocity with a breakwater during the highest tide that occurs in the western season in 2020 range from 0.001 to 0.052 m/s, while the current velocity at the lowest tide that occurs in the western season ranges from 0.001 to 0.075 m/s. The difference in current patterns and current speed that occurs in the treatment without a breakwater and with a breakwater, is caused by the breakwater, namely the breakwater that can withstand currents and waves.
The model results obtained with conditions without a breakwater, the results of the highest tide sediment transport that occurs in the western season in 2020 range from 0.00015 to 0.048 kg/m3, while sediment transport during the lowest tide that occurs in the western season ranges from 0.00015 to 0.048 kg/m3. The results of the model with the condition of a breakwater obtained in the highest tide sediment transport that occurs in the western season in 2020 range from 0 to 0.05 kg/m3, while the lowest tide sediment transport that occurs in the western season

ranges from 0 to 0.048 kg/m3. The results of sediment transport modeling during the lowest tide of the west season with no breakwater treatment in the north of Selat Baru Beach, Riau has the direction of sediment transport from south to north. This clearly shows that during high tide the material that settles will be carried away, while at low tide the material will be eroded, this will later become a factor of abrasion and sedimentation on the New Strait coast, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province.
