Hubungan Konsentrasi Nitrat Dan Fosfat Terhadap Produktivitas Primer Fitoplankton Di Perairan Sungai Sembilan, Dumai Provinsi Riau
ABSTRACT
This research was conducted in January 2020 in the waters of the Sungai
Sembilan Dumai which aims to determine the concentration of nitrate and
phosphate on the primary productivity of phytoplankton. The research method
used in this research is survey method while the determination of the research
station was done by purposive sampling. The results showed that the average
nitrate concentration ranged from 0.0194 - 0.0749 mg/l and the average phosphate
concentration ranged from 0.1452 - 0.8502 mg/l. There are 16 species of
phytoplankton found in the waters of the Sungai Sembilan Dumai, 6 classes
consisting of Bacillariophycae, Cocinodiscophyceae, Chroococcophyceae,
Cyanophyceae, Cyanobacteria and Xanthophyceae. The results of the calculation
of phytoplankton abundance ranged from 74.07 - 280.09 Ind /L. The net primary
productivity values ranged from 41.67 - 72.91 mgC/m2/hour. The test which was
conducted to determine the relationship between Nitrate and Phosphate on
Primary Productivity of Phytoplankton was a simple linear regression test. The
relationship between nitrate concentration and primary productivity of
phytoplankton is obtained by the mathematical equation Y = 70.903 - 210.353x
and the value of the correlation coefficient (r) = 0.3745 which shows a moderate
negative relationship. The coefficient of determination (R2) = 0.1402 shows the
effect of nitrate concentration on the primary productivity of phytoplankton in
waters as much as 14.02%. While the concentration of phosphate on the primary
productivity of phytoplankton was obtained by the mathematical equation Y =
47,801 + 28,458x with a correlation coefficient value (r) = 0.4758 and the
coefficient of determination (R2) = 0.2264 indicating that the effect of phosphate
concentration on the primary productivity of phytoplankton was 22.64%. Tthe
effect of nitrate concentration on the primary productivity of phytoplankton is
14.02%. while 85.98% is influenced by other factors. The effect of phosphate
concentration on the primary productivity of phytoplankton is 22.64% and
77.46% is influenced by other factors.
