Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Peserta Didik Kelas Viii1 Smpn 9 Pekanbaru
Abstract: This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve the
learning process and improve student learning outcomes through the application of the
problem based learning (PBL) model. This research was conducted in class VIII1 SMPN
9 Pekanbaru in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 school year with the subject matter of
the two-variable linear equation system (SPLDV). The subjects in this study were 39
students consisting of 23 female students and 16 male students with heterogeneous ability
levels. The research was conducted in two groups of cycles with each cycle consisting of
three and two meetings. The research instrument used was a learning tool consisting of a
syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheet and data collection instruments consisting
of teacher and student activity sheets, and learning outcomes tests. Based on the analysis
of teacher and student activity data, it appears that there is an increase in the value of the
activity at each meeting after the application of the PBL model. Student learning
outcomes data on knowledge and skills competencies also showed an increase in the
percentage of students with learning outcomes equal to or more than the applied KKM,
namely 70.The results of this study indicate that the application of the PBL model can
improve the learning process and improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class
