Uji Beberapa Konsentrasi Ekstrak Tepung Buah Sirih Hutan (Piper Aduncum L.) Untuk Menurunkan Serangan Hama Penggerek Buah Kakao (Conopomorpha Cramerella Snellen)
ABSTRACT
Conopomorpha cramerella Snellen. is one of the main pests of the cocoa
plant, control commonly used is synthetic chemical insecticides, however, its
continuous use can cause pest resistance, so alternative control is needed, one of
which is a botanical insecticide for forest betel fruit. This research was conducted
in smallholder cocoa plantation in Koto Tuo village, Sungai Tarab District, Tanah
Datar Regency, West Sumatra Province from May to August 2018. This study
aims to obtain the concentration of forest betel fruit flour extract that is able to
reduce attack of C. cramerella. This research was conducted experimentally using
a completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments and four replications.
The treatments used were concentrations of forest betel fruit flour extract 0 g.l-1
water, 25 g.l-1 water, 50 g.l-1 water, 75 g.l-1 water and 100 g.l-1 water. Based on
the results of the study, the concentration of forest betel fruit extract concentration
100 g.l-1 water was able to reduce the percentage of infected fruit by 15 %, reduce
larval population of 3.05 tails, reduce the intensity of fruit damage by 56.97 %
and increase the weight of dry cocoa beans of 22.68 g.
