Keanekaragaman Jenis Herpetofauna Di Hutan Larangan Adat Imbo Putui Desa Petapahan Kecamatan Tapung Kabupaten Kampar
ABSTRACT
Biodiversity in Indonesia is very high as indicated by the largest proportion of
flora and fauna species, for which Indonesia has the largest number of reptiles and
amphibians, ranking 7th in the world. Herpetofauna has an important role in the
forest ecosystem with its existence being one of the bioindicator’s as a
consideration in area management. The purpose of this research was to determine
the diversity of herpetofauna species found in Imbo Putui Banned Indigenous
Forest, Petapahan Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency. This study used a
direct data collection which was carried out using the Visual Encounter Survey
(VES) method combined with the transect method. Meanwhile, indirect data
collection was carried out by installing traps. The results showed that the diversity
of herpetofauna species found in Imbo Putui Banned Indigenous Forest,
Petapahan Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency, had 27 types of
herpetofauna from 16 families. Diversity index (H') on lane 1, lane 2, lane 3, lane
5 and outside the lane get the medium category and on lane 4 get the low
category. Relative abundance (KR) in Imbo Putui Banned Indigenous Forest,
namely kongkang cricket’s (Hylarana nicobariensis) amounted to 16.67% with
the medium category and the evennes of species with the low category is the
range 0.02-0.09.
