Abstract: This study aims to determine the relationship between selfconcept
and emotional intelligence of children age 4-5 years in Sehat Ceria
Kindergarten, Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency. The sample in this study were
all children age 4-5 years in the Kindergarten Sehat Ceria, Mandau District,
Bengkalis Regency total 30 children. The method used is a survey with a
correlation technique. The data collection technique used was data observation.
The data analysis technique is a statistical technique using the Pearson product
Moment formula. The results showed that the level of self-concept of the child was
in the good category and the level of emotional intelligence of the child was in the
sufficient category. Hypothesis test results show the correlation coefficient value
of rxy =6030 greater than rtable -0.364 (0.6030> 0.364) with a significance level of
