Sistem Monitoring Secara Real-Time Pencemaran Air Sungai Siak Pekanbaru Berbasis Iot
ABSTRACT
Abstract: This study aims to produce a prototype design for monitoring tools to
indicate in real time the level of turbidity and heavy metals (zinc, lead and iron) in the
Siak Pekanbaru river, Rumbai Pesisir sub-district. This research was conducted
around the upstream and downstream waters of the Pekanbaru Siak River in Rumbai
Pesisir District. Turbidity sensors and TDS EC Meter are used by researchers to
determine the level of turbidity in the river water. Researchers also conducted a series
of lab tests to determine the level of metal content in water. The measurement results
are converted into NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Units) and then displayed on the
Internet of Thing (IoT) based website and database. The results of research conducted
periodically show that the water turbidity in the Siak River is in the range of 90-120
NTU at the "Not Good" level. Meanwhile, the heavy metal content shows some
changes in water.
