Gambaran Pola Makan Anak Balita Di Desa Pebenaan Kecamatan Keritang Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir
Toddler age is an age with rapid growth and development that
requires adequate food to meet the toddler’s nutritional needs. Diet can be an
indicator of determining a toddler’s nutritional status. This study aims to describe the
diet of toddlers in Pebenaan Village, Keritang District, Indragiri Hilir Regency.
Methods: The research used is descriptive quantitative with a sample of 80
respondents, they are mothers who have toddlers. This study uses a purposive
sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is a food recall 3x24 hours
questionnaire. The analysis was used in univariate analysis with the results of the
analysis in the form of a frequency distribution. Result: The results showed that most
of the toddlers had at the age of 12-36 months (62.5%) and the majority of toddlers
had a good nutritional status (99%). The frequency of eating for toddlers was mostly
in the good category as many as 53 people (66%), while the consumption of food
types in the bad category was 46 people (57.5%). When viewed from the level of
nutritional adequacy of toddlers in the form of calories, most of them were in the bad
category namely 42 people (52%), 24 people (30%) of moderate carbohydrate
consumption (30%), 77 good protein consumption (96%), and consumption of fat in
the bad category as many as 80 people (100%). Conclusion: Although the majority of
toddlers have good nutritional status, there are still children with poor consumption
of types of food and poor nutritional adequacy, especially calories and fat. It is hoped
that health workers can educate parents to pay more attention to the diet of toddlers,
provide various and nutritious foods to meet the nutritional needs of toddlers.
