Tata Kelola Sampah Di Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti Tahun 2018 - 2019

This research departs from the problem of waste management in the
Meranti Islands Regency which is not well managed, garbage is still scattered,
such as empty land which causes illegal landfills, at sea which causes the sea to
be polluted and garbage garbage is also still scattered in every urban street. The
purpose of this research is to analyze how the waste management in Meranti
Islands Regency in 2018-2019 and to analyze what are the inhibiting factors of
waste management in Meranti Islands Regency in 2018-2019.
This study uses a qualitative method with descriptive type of research
where the aim is to describe in detail the data and interpret the data or symptoms
obtained during the study regarding Waste Management in Meranti Islands
Regency in 2018-2019. Data collection techniques using interviews, document
searches and observations. Primary data were obtained directly from informants
in the form of interviews and observations. Secondary data is obtained from
books, documents, statutory regulations, ministerial regulations, regional
regulations, strategic planning, renja, mass media and so on.
The results of the study show that waste management in the Meranti
Islands Regency in 2018-2019 has not been going well, the synergy relationship
between the local government, the private sector and the community in
implementing waste management has not been well established, most of the
private sector and society have not supported the policy. Waste management
carried out by the local government of Kepulauan Meranti Regency in this case
through the Environment and Forestry Service and waste management in Meranti
Islands Regency in 2018-2019 has also experienced several inhibiting factors
such as obstacles to the execution of Regional Regulation Number 13 of 2015
concerning Waste Management, facilities and infrastructure, limited budget,
quality of human resources and low participation of the public and the private
sector.
