Kuantan Singingi Regency is one of the regencies in Riau Province. This Regency has 15 Districts. One of the sub-districts in Kuantan Singingi District is Kuantan Hilir District, so far the Kuantan Hilir District in developing villages with all its assets and resources is not an easy matter. There are stages that must be prepared to make the village and village officials in Kuantan Hilir District able to carry out this ideal role. Up to now there are still problems in monitoring village fund management. Therefore more efforts are needed for the Kuantan Hilir Subdistrict to make oversight of village funds in its area optimal. The objectives of this study are (a) to find out the governance of Village Funds in Kuantan Hilir Subdistrict, Kuantan Singingi Regency, (b). to find out the efforts made to improve the Village Fund Governance in Kuantan Hilir District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. From the results of the research, the results show that the Village Fund financial management implemented by the village government is sufficiently in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. In addition, the Village Fund financial management process has involved the community from the planning stage to the supervision stage. Although the management of the Village Fund is very good, the community's understanding of Village Fund policies is still low. In terms of Village Fund reporting carried out by the village government through the PSID institution, it is very good. Reporting is done by using the information that is distributed in each hamlet through the RT head and the Hamlet Chair, as well as an information board placed at the Village Office. The village government has implemented technical and administrative accountability for the Village Fund. However, in the case of reports on the realization of the use of the Village Fund, the village government only produces a report with an improvised report format. Because there are no specific rules that discuss the format that should be done. The factors that affect Village Fund Governance in Kuantan Hilir Subdistrict, Kuantan Singingi Regency include: lack of resource capacity of village officials, unexpected conditions, lack of Community Support, delays in Village Fund Disbursement, village government is less able to manage Village Funds, lack of supervision by the Village Consultative Body (BPD). , Keywords: Governance, Village Funds
