Persepsi Mahasiswa Keperawatan Tentang Peran Tutor Dan Pelaksanaan Proses Tutorial Menggunakan Teknik Seven Jump
The seven jumps technique is an approach used in problem solving learning
methods known as Problem Based Learning (PBL). Problem Based Learning (PBL) is one of the
SCL methods used to solving study problems through small groups. Seven Jumps technique used
in tutorial process, in this tutorial process there is a tutor on duty. Students’ perceptions of the
tutor’s role will affect the merits of implementation of seven jumps in tutorials’ process in
Nursing Faculty of Riau University. Therefore there is needed to evaluating the role of tutor and
implementation of the tutorial process using the seven jumps technique for the further
improvement. The purpose of this study is to determine the perceptions of nursing student about
the role of the tutor and the implementation of the tutorial process using the seven jumps
technique. Methods: This study used a descriptive design. The population in this study were
students of the regular program (A program) Nursing Faculty of Riau University. The sample of
this study amounted 222 respondents using random sampling technique. The measuring
instrument used is a questionnaire sheet. Result: This study showed that the for the tutor role
there were 114 respondents (51.4%) who had positive perceptions and 108 respondents (48.6%)
had negative perceptions. Whereas for the implementation of the tutorial process, there were 117
respondents (52.7%) who had a positive perception of the implementation of the seven jumps
technique and 105 respondents (47.3%) had negative perceptions. Conclusion: It is suggested for
intitutions to be able to evaluate the learning process and optimize the tutor’s role in
implementing tutorials using the seven jumps technique.
