Produktivitas Perikanan Tangkap Payang Di Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara (Ppn) Sungailiat Provinsi Bangka Belitung

ABSTRACT
Payang is a trawl bag used to catch schools of surface fish. Payang is a
productive fishing gear at PPN Sungailiat with a weight of below 10 Gross
Tonnage (GT). They are in the 711 Fishery Management Area (WPP). The
purpose of the research is to calculate the productivity level of Payang fishing, as
well as determine the influencing factors against the decrease in Payang catch at
Sungailiat PPN. The main data was used from logbook data from 2016 - 2018 are
including data on catch production and the number of fishing trips (days). The
supporting data was obtained by conducting interviews with Payang fishing
gear's fishermen and government agencies with support from questionnaires.
Productivity analysis uses CPUE calculations based on the number of catches
divided by the number of fishing trips. Production factor analysis uses a simple
linear regression method, with the help of Excel 2016 as a tool to regress the
formulated model. The results showed that the productivity of Payang fishing at
PPN Sungailiat in 2016-2018 decreased. It is because many Payang ships do not
operate or switch to other fishing tools. Production factors that affect the catch
based on the coefficient of determination, among others; net length is 74%,
experience as a fisherman is 73%, the number of fishing trips is 72%, the amount
of fuel is 62%. The length of the large net affects the catch and is the most
dominant factor affecting of catch.
