Pengembangan Soal Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Berkonteks Budaya Melayu Riau Pada Materi Segiempat Dan Segitiga Kelas VII SMP/MTs
This development research aims to produce an assessment instrument in the form of High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions in the context of Riau Malay culture in the form of descriptions on the material of quadrilaterals and triangles for 7th grades that are valid and reliable and have a good level of difficulty and distinguishing power. This research uses a development studies model with the stages of pleminary and formative evaluation (self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one, small group and field test). The subjects in this are 33 students of 7th grade from SMPN 4 Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques are carried out by literature studies and field studies. The research data was obtained by validating the HOTS questions in the context of Riau Malay culture for the three validators and testing the HOTS questions by the research subjects at the field test stage. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results showed that the average score of the validator of HOTS questions in the context of Riau Malay culture for aspects of content, construct and language was 80.55%, the validity score of the items obtained was 20 valid questions with a reliability value of 0.94 in the very high category, the difficulty level with 4 questions in the medium level category and 6 questions in the difficult level category, and distinguishing power with 9 questions in the sufficient category and 11 questions in the good category.
