Pola Komunikasi Komunitas Komik Riau Dalam Upaya Mengembangkan Industri Kreatif Komik Di Kota Pekanbaru

The creative economy is a new economic sector that can make significant contribution, even in the future, it must become the backbone of the Indonesian economy. Komik Riau Community in its efforts to develop the creative industry in Pekanbaru City is carried out through various activities and certain communication patterns such as how they invite, educate, convey messages and by using any media that the Komik Riau community uses. This also includes the activities they carry out, such as technical problems in production, how to survive in the creative industry, and also how they can make this creative industry their profession.. This study aims to determine how communication patterns and forms of Komik Riau activities in an effort to develop the comic creative industry in Pekanbaru City.
The research method that writer use in this research is a qualitative method by collecting data and information in the field. This research began in September 2019 to February 2021 and held at the Illustory Studio and One Refinery Café. Data obtained through the process of interview, observation, and documentation with five informants who were selected by purposive technique with the criteria such as they were members of Komik Riau at least 1 year and had or are currently owning a business in the creative industry. Based on these criteria, the subjects who became informants in this study included the chairman, secretary, and 3 members of the Komik Riau who were actively working in the comic creative industry. The data analysis technique that writer used was the technical analysis of the Miles and Huberman data model and to check the data validity technique used triangulation.
The results of this study indicate that the first communication pattern that Komik Riau Community used is the All-Channel communication and wheel communication patterns. The All channel communication occurs when the chairman, secretary and other members can communicate with each other face-to-face during gatherings, exhibitions and social activities, as well as by using chat and social media to exchange information and participation between members can be done publicly and freely. Wheel communication patterns occur when conducting workshops and when the chairperson uses his role as mediator and decision maker. Apart from providing focus, this communication pattern also generates motivation and enthusiasm for each member of the Komik Riau in learning process, sharing, and developing skills and interests of members of Komik Riau in carrying out the work process. Second, the forms of Komik Riau activities include gatherings, workshops, exhibitions, and social activities.
