Karakterisasi Progeni Mutan M7 Kacang Hijau (Vigna Radiata L.) Lokal Riau
This study aimed to evaluate the characterization of 13 variables:
germination, flowering time, number of branches per plant, plant height, harvest
age, pod color, number of pods per plant, pod length, number of seeds per pod,
seed color, number of seeds per plant, seed weight per plant, and weight of 100
seeds of the local Riau M7 mutant progeny M7 green bean (Vigna radiata L.). The
study used a completely randomized design (RAL) in which there were parent
plant populations and 4 progenies, namely M7-18-3-1-6, M7-18-3-1-17, M7-18-3-
1-18 and M7-18. -3-1-19. Each population was planted in a plot of 3.1 m x 3.1 m
with a spacing of 30 cm x 30 cm. The parent population was planted in 5 plots, 4
progenies were planted in 97 plots. Each plot consisted of 100 individual plants.
Observations were made on all individuals in the plant population of the
experimental unit. Parameters observed were: germination, flowering time,
number of branches, plant height, harvest age, number of pods per plant, pod
color, pod length, number of seeds per pod, seed color, number of seeds per plant,
seed weight per plant and weight. 100 seeds per plant. Observational data were
analyzed statistically using the analysis of variance and then continued with the
5% BNT test. The diversity for each population and the coefficient of diversity
were calculated using the excel program. Homogeneity of Variance (HOV) is used
to see whether the diversity between populations is uniform or not, with the
lavene’s test.
The results showed that the M7-18-3-1-6 progeny produced the median
value of flowering age, fast harvesting age, large number of branches and the
highest number of seeds per plant compared to the parent and other progenies.
The M7-18-3-1-17 progeny produced the highest mean pod length, number of
seeds per pod and seed weight per plant compared to the parent and other
progeny. M7 progeny had flowering time, number of branches per plant, age of
harvest, number of pods per plant, pod length, number of seeds per pod, number
of seeds per plant, seed weight per plant and weight of 100 seeds were low.
