Peningkatan Performansi Jaringan Fiber Optic Pada Penyambungan Single-Mode Ke Multi-Mode Di Pt. Putra Mulia Telecommunication Pada Provider Xl Menggunakan Perangkat Temporary
Abstract
The need for communication services is now increasing. To fulfill
communication services, every operator or company that handles troubleshoot
or maintenance on fiber optic communication systems can solve it quickly.
This research helps to solve these problems. Researchers analyzed the fiber
optic transmission power link budget for Sail link site - East Tangkerang Site,
Pekanbaru link site. By using the SM-SM method and comparing it with the
SM-MM method using a temporary device. The attenuation value of the SMMM
method by reducing the number of splices has a better performance
quality. And the power link budget received on the Rx also has a small power
value compared to the SM-SM method using a 2-3 splice. Overall, based on
the analysis of the loss in fiber optic transmission, the SM-MM method is able
to meet the needs of fiber optic transmission in Pekanbaru.
