Pengembangan Perangkat Pembelajaran Matematika Pada Materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel Dengan Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) Untuk Memfasilitasi Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis Peserta Didik Kelas VIII SMP/MTs
This research is motivated by the demands of the 2013 curriculum on
teachers. Teachers are required not only to teach and educate, but must be able to
become facilitators so that the role of education becomes more meaningful.
Teachers must be able to design interactive, inspiring, fun, challenging and
motivating learning processes for students to actively participate in the learning
process. Learning planning is designed in the form of a syllabus and lesson plans.
Mathematical Communication Skills (KKM) must be possessed by students, but in
reality the KKM of students is still low. The lack of teaching materials on the
material of the two-variable linear equation system (SPLDV) is also the
background for the author to develop the LKPD. The solution to improve the
learning process and KKM of students is to develop learning tools based on
problem based learning models. This is because the problem based learning
model is in accordance with the learning theory proposed by Bruner, namely the
learning process will run well and creatively, if the teacher gives students the
opportunity to find a rule (including concepts, theories, definitions, and so on)
through examples. an example that illustrates/represents the rule from which it is
sourced. In addition, the steps in the problem based learning model can train
students' mathematical communication skills and can be integrated with the
development of LKPD. The purpose of the research is to produce learning tools
with the application of problem based learning models to facilitate students' KKM
on valid and practical two-variable linear equation system (SPLDV) material.
The learning tools developed are the syllabus, lesson plans, LKPD and
Mathematical Communication Ability Questions.
The type of research used is research and development (R&D). The data
collection instruments in this study were in the form of validation sheets and
student response questionnaires. Validation sheets are used to obtain the results
of the validation of learning tools in the form of syllabus, lesson plans and LKPD.
Learning tools are said to be valid if the average percentage of the validator's
assessment is more than 70%. Student response questionnaire sheets were used to
obtain the practical results of the LKPD developed. Learning tools are said to be
practical if the percentage of practicality is more than 70%.
This study uses a 4D development model which consists of four stages,
namely the stage of defining, planning (designing), developing (developing) and
distributing (desseminate). The definition stage is carried out by early-late
analysis, student analysis, material analysis, task analysis, and formulation of
learning objectives. The planning stage (design) is carried out to prepare a
prototype of learning tools including format selection, initial design of learning
devices consisting of syllabus design, lesson plans, LKPD, and validation
instruments, questions about communication skills and student response
questionnaires. development (develop) is the stage to produce learning tools that
xvi
have been revised based on the input of three validators. The results of the
analysis of the validation of the syllabus, lesson plans, LKPD and KKM questions
show a very valid category with a score of 97.72%, 94.78%, 91.89% and 94.50%,
meaning that the learning tools developed can be tested and revised. according to
the validator's suggestion. Furthermore, the researchers tested the revised
learning tools according to the validator's suggestion to nine students who have
heterogeneous abilities to see the practicality of the developed worksheets. The
results of the practicality data analysis in the small group trial show the very
practical category with a score of 95.54%. In the dissemination stage, researchers
will use learning tools on a wider scale.
Learning tools that have been revised are then used as products of
research results. The results of the research on the development of mathematics
learning tools with the application of problem based learning models to facilitate
students' mathematical communication skills on the material of the two-variable
linear equation system (SPLDV) are valid and practical.
