Panjang Aksis Bola Mata Pada Penderita Miopia
Myopia is a refractive disorder in which parallel rays coming from an
object are focused in front of the retina when the eye is not accommodating.
Increasing the axial length can increase the risk of developing myopia and lead to
development of glaucoma in myopia. The purpose of the research to determine the
difference of axial length in myopia patients. The sample of this study was taken
from November 2020 to April 2021 at the eye clinic of Arifin Achmad. The axial
length can be measured using an AB scan biometry (E-Z scan AB 5500⁺ Biometry
Sonomed). This study amounted to 102 eyes from 102 respondents, most of whom
were 23-27 years old (48,0%), the largest gender was female (77,5%), The most
type of myopia is axial myopia (77,5%), the distribution of myopia mostly had
mild myopia (50,0%).
