Faktor-Faktor Yang Memengaruhi Tingkat Keparahan Klinis Pasien Covid-19 Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau
COVID-19 or Coronavirus Disease-19 is a type of infectious disease that
only emerged at the end of 2019 which was originally thought to have originated
in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. The most common symptoms caused by
infection with SARS-CoV-2 are fever, fatigue, dry cough, classified as mild and
appear gradually. About 80% of infected people will recover from the disease
without requiring special treatment. However, serious conditions can be
experienced by some people. About 1 in 5 people who are exposed to this virus
can develop symptoms of difficulty breathing and require hospitalization. This
type of research is descriptive with the aim of knowing the risk factors for clinical
severity in COVID-19 patients treated at the Arifin Achmad Hospital, Riau
Province in March-December 2020. From 492 patients, 57 patients were
diagnosed with severe/critical degrees. Characteristics of patients in
severe/critical degrees, namely the most age in the 18-60 year group totaling 31
people (6.3%) with a mean age of 55 years, most of them male, namely 39 people
(7.9%), and comorbidities were kidney/liver/other disease, diabetes mellitus, and
hypertension with a total of 27 people (5,0%), 21 people (3.9%) and 13 people
(2.4%).
