Hubungan Derajat Keparahan Psoriasis Vulgaris Dengan Kejadian Hipertensi Di Poliklinik Kulit Dan Kelamin Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau
Psoriasis vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease that appears
characterized by well-demarcated erythematous plaques with silvery-white
stratified squama that comes in various sizes. Psoriasis vulgaris is sometimes
also associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, one of which
is hypertension. This study aims to determine the relationship between
psoriasis vulgaris severity and hypertension in Arifin Achmad General
Hospital, Riau Province. This study was an observational analytic study with a
cross sectional study design and a consecutive sampling method. The results of
this study obtained 30 patients consisting of 22 men and 11 women. Most
patients were 46-65 years old (56.7%). 7 (23.3%) of psoriasis vulgaris patients
experienced hypertension and 23 (76.7%) non-hypertensive patients. It is
known that from 20 psoriasis vulgaris patients with mild-moderate severity,
there was 1 person (5%) who had hypertension. In 10 patients with severe
severity of psoriasis vulgaris, 6 (65%) had hypertension. The conclusion of this
study is that there is a significant relationship between the severity of psoriasis
vulgaris and hypertension in Arifin Achmad General Hospital, Riau Province
(P = 0.002)
