Korelasi Keterpaparan Program Pencegahan Dan Pengendalian Perilaku Merokok Dengan Persepsi Tentang Perilaku Merokok Pada Mahasiswa Universitas Riau
The prevalence of smokers in adolescents in Indonesia continues to increase
from 7.2% in 2013 to 9.1% in 2018, and will continue to increase every year.
Exposure to the prevention and control of smoking behavior will affect the
perception of smokers about smoking behavior that smoking has a bad effect, so
that smokers will try to stop smoking. The purpose of this study was to determine
the relationship between exposure to smoking prevention and control programs
with perceptions of smoking behavior in Riau University students. This study was
an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling
technique used the voluntary sampling method with 309 respondents as
respondents. Exposure and perception were obtained by questionnaire. Bivariate
analysis using Spearman Correlation test. The results showed that 56% of
students had poor exposure to smoking prevention and control programs and
87.4% had a negative perception of smoking behavior, that smoking is bad. The
results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was no correlation between
exposure to smoking prevention and control programs and perceptions of smoking
behavior (p=0.955) with a very weak correlation strength and
positive/unidirectional value (r=0.003).
