Gambaran Histopatologi Kanker Kolorektal Yang Dilakukan Reseksi Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode Januari 2016 - Desember 2020
Colorectal cancer is a malignancy originating from the intestinal tissue, which
consists of the colon (the longest part of the large intestine) and/or the rectum.
Surgical resection specimens are important for determining management therapy
and assessing prognosis by performing histopathological examination. The
purpose of this study was to determine the histopathological description of
colorectal cancer undergoing resection. This type of research is a retrospective
descriptive study with sampling of archival data at the Anatomical Pathology
installation. The results showed that 88 cases of colorectal cancer patients
underwent resection with the highest sex characteristics was male (52.3%). The
highest age group was in the 46-60 years (44.3%). The most histopathological
types was Adenocarcinoma with well-differentiated (44.3%). Pathological stage
based on Dukes classification mostly was stage B (43.2%). The largest number of
samples based on tumor cell invasion in lymphovascular was negative
lymphovascular invasion (56.8%). A portion of the bowel samples of resectioned
colorectal cancer patients were sent without regional lymph node tissue (54.5%).
Both ends of the resection margins were generally tumor cell-free (81.8%).
