Gambaran Fungsi Ginjal Pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus Yang Dirawat Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau
Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease caused by metabolic disorders,
characterized by hyperglycemia. Diabetes mellitus with improper management
will cause various complications. The examination to prevent complications must
be administered as early as possible to prevent DM complications. This study
aims to determine kidney function in DM patients treated at the Arifin Achmad
Hospital for the period 1 January–31 December 2019. This was a retrospective
descriptive study using 252 patients medical record. The results showed that
female is more frequent than male as 59.2%:40.8%. Almost half of patients got
DM from less than 5 years ago (47.7%). Most of patient had high random blood
sugar level (79.4%). Almost half of patients had high urea level (41.7%). (50%)
patients had high kreatinin level. From the kreatinin level, there were (30.3%)
diagnosed with moderate kidney damage. The results showed many patients got
DM from 5–10 years ago and got moderate kidney damage (15.6%). As
conclusion, there are a lot of patients who had not controlled their blood sugar
level and had moderate kidney damage.
