Motivasi Mahasiswa Bekerja Sebagai Driver Go-Jek Di Kota Pekanbaru

This research was conducted in Pekanbaru City, the purpose of the study is to
analayze the motivation of the students to work as a Go-jek drivers. The object of
the research are students who study at the University in Pekanbaru. This study
uses a quantitative descriptive method. The Data from Transportation Service of
Pekanbaru City can be used as comprehensive data in this study In collecting
data the researchers uses a simple random sampling technique. The total
population of this study was 364 respondents, from the population a sample of 78
respondents was taken. The research instrument uses field observation
techniques, questionnaires or questionnaires, and documentation studies. The
data measurement technique used a Likert scale . The data analysis technique
used a quantitative descriptive analysis technique. The data application program
used in this data analysis is using the SPSS 22 program. The motivations that
encourage students to study while working as Go-jek drivers are: Economic
needs, filling free time, seeking experience, and to make more connections. As for
the results of the study found as many as 62.8% of respondents strongly agree that
students work because they have financial problems for daily living expenses. As
many as 43.6% of students agree that free time is used to work immediately after
finishing classes. As many as 57.7% of respondents strongly agree that they are
having many friends after working as a Go-jek driver. The rest of 44.9% of
respondents agree that being a Go-jek driver is influenced by the circle of friends.
