This study aims to determine the effect of work ability and work motivation on the performance of elementary school principals in Bangko Pusako District, Rokan Hilir Regency. The author is interested in studying more deeply by conducting research on "The influence of work ability and work motivation on the performance of elementary school principals in Bangko Pusako District, Rokan Hilir Regency. The research population was elementary school teachers in Bangko Pusako District, Rokan Hilir Regency as many as 137 teachers. The sample size is 101 teachers. The result of the research is that there is a positive and significant effect of work ability on the performance of elementary school principals in Bangko Pusako District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This means that if the work ability is improved, the principal's performance will increase, on the contrary, the lower the work ability, the lower the principal's performance. There is a positive and significant effect of work motivation on the performance of elementary school principals in Bangko Pusako District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This means that if work motivation is increased, the performance of the principal will increase, on the contrary, the lower the work motivation, the lower the performance of the principal. There is a positive and significant influence between work ability and work motivation on the performance of elementary school principals in Bangko Pusako District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This means that if the work ability and work motivation are improved, the principal's performance will increase, on the contrary, the lower the work ability and work motivation, the lower the principal's performance.
