Analisis Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Jumlah Penduduk Miskin Di Pulau Sumatera Dengan Pendekatan Metode Bootstrap

ABSTRACT
This study aims to estimate what factors affect poverty on Sumatera. By analyzing
statistical data as many as 154 districts/cities obtained from secondary data from
BPS, government financial statistics, and the directorate general of financial
balance of the Ministry of Finance between the dependent variable Number of
Poor Populations and the independent variable Human Development Index (HDI),
the number of population, open unemployment rate, area, Gross Regional
Domestic Product (GRDP), Regional Original Income and the amount of regional
expenditure of districts/cities on the island of Sumatra. The results of analysis
multiple regression using the bootstrap method with 500, 2000 and 5000 times
resampling obtained 3 variabel that affect the number of poor people on the island
of Sumatera, namely the Human development Index variable with a negative and
significant affect, population with positif and significant affect, and regional
expenditure with a negative and significant affect. This indicates that an increase
in the Human Development Index (HDI) and regional expenditure will reduce the
poverty rate on the island of Sumatra, while an increase in the population will
increase poverty on the island of Sumatra.
