Hubungan Jumlah Cd4+ Dengan Kejadian Penyakit Kulit Infeksi Pada Pasien Hiv/Aids Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau 2015 – 2020
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that can destroy CD4+ T
cells found in lymph nodes and skin Langerhans cells which function as the
immune system. The progressive decline in CD4+ counts in HIV/AIDS patients
has an increased risk of infectious skin diseases. This study aims to determine the
correlation between CD4+ counts and the incidence of infectious skin diseases in
HIV/AIDS patients at Arifin Achmad Hospital, Riau Province 2015-2020. This
study was observational analytical with a retrospective design and random
sampling method. The results of this study obtained 153 patients consisting of 123
men (80.4%) and 30 women (19.6%). The age of the most patients are 26-45
years as many as 106 people (69.3%). Some patients had more than one infectious
skin disease so that 160 infectious skin diseases were found. The most infectious
skin diseases caused by fungal infections as many as 139 people (90.8%), virus
infections as many as 12 people (8%), bacterial infections as many as 7
people (4.6%) and parasitic infecitions as many as 2 people (1.3%). The most
number of CD4+ found in 153 patients infectious skin diseases with
a CD4+ count
