Gambaran Karakteristik Pasien Hiv/Aids Dengan Kelainan Kulit Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that attacks the immune system,
especially CD4 cells. The skin immune system is influenced by Langerhans cells,
decreased Langerhans cell function due to HIV infection will increase the risk of
skin disorders. This study was conducted to describe the characteristics of
HIV/AIDS patients with skin disorders in RSUD Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau.
The design of this study was a descriptive study with a retrospective approach
that obtained secondary data from the status and medical records of new
HIV/AIDS patients from January 2015 to June 2020. Based on the data found
1,646 HIV/AIDS patients, skin disorders were found in 18.9% of cases. The
results of this study found that HIV/AIDS patients with skin disorders were at
most 26-35 years old (39.4%) dominated by men (80.1%), the highest education
level was high school (56.1%), most occupations are private (68.8%), the most
marital status is unmarried (47.1%), drug use behaviour in 6.3% of cases and the
most injection method (85.7%). Most skin disorders occur in CD4 count
